Author & thought-leader
I have appeared on several podcasts and presented at Agile conferences.
Most of my work is published here on my blog; I also publish at Medium.com, as well as a weekly newsletter on Substack.
Mobile & tech consulting
Previously, I held wide range of product, portfolio, program, analyst, scrum master, and technical delivery roles for enterprise Agile mobile and digital engagements for Virtusa, led teams building Top-10 apps across the iOS App and Google Play stores with Mobiquity, developed apps for Fortune 20 clients, managed mobile transformation strategy engagements for national financial services organizations, and ran a multitude of Agile projects with mobile, microservices, and software development at their core.
Prior to those roles, I did UX/UI, Open Source CMS development, and SEO for the healthcare and financial industries at Strategic Domain.
I’ve also worked at various online publishing outlets including FOX Sports, and created turnkey ecommerce sites with various companies including Fry, Inc.. Along the way, I’ve been able to work with some great teams, creating compelling content, developing mobile and ecommerce sites that convert, and rich Web and mobile applications.
Since the dawn of the new millennium, I’ve led teams that have built apps in and worked with everything from Java, ASP.Net, IBM Websphere, Eclipse, Oracle Weblogic, and the LAMP stack.
After working extensively with Open Source projects, most notably in Drupal and WordPress, I grasped early the migration of the Web to mobile, and the new opportunities and challenges that it represented.
Managing everything from Lean campaign landing pages through large, complex, community-driven sites, I’ve had the opportunity to see that even the most complicated projects are just a series of simple steps, laid end to end.
Agility everywhere
As a certified Agile practitioner, I have seen first-hand the tremendous benefits that the flexible, iterative, and adaptive Agile approach can provide, particularly at the Enterprise level.
Contributing at all levels to delivery, sales, account management, and internal team management, I consistently work to make the subtle arts of UX design and technical development quantifiable, accessible and repeatable.
I also have hands-on experience in UI/UX interface design, Web design, prototyping, wireframing, user testing, interviewing, analytics, and coding in PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.
Italian is my native language. I now spend a great deal of time speaking, writing, presenting, and coaching in English. During my international travel in the hotel industry, I have been conversationally fluent in German and Japanese.
A proud family man, I enjoy writing, teaching, coaching, mentoring, playing drums and percussion, cooking, doing strength training, tennis, and yoga, as well as an active mindfulness and meditation practice.
